City of Oregon City – Request for Indigent Defense Attorney for Municipal Court

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Oregon City will receive applications for an independent contract for an Indigent Defense Attorney opening until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024. The attorney must be a member of the Oregon State Bar and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience or equivalent. Court is held on Tuesday’s and will have an option to select two Tuesdays to appear each month for pre-trials. Jury trials may be scheduled on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, or Friday’s. Compensation is a set salary of $2, 080 per month with a two (2) year contract. On average you may be appointed 6-8 cases a month. Interested parties please bring your letter of interest and resume to the Oregon City Municipal Court, 1234 Linn Avenue, Oregon City, OR 97045, no later than 5pm on February 16, 2024.
